Seniors Elizabeth Rikard and Ally Russ, as well as sophomore Carly Soreo, had the experience of a lifetime this winter as they all performed during the Buffalo Wild Wing’s Citrus Bowl’s halftime show!
This year’s Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl was held on New Year’s Eve at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. It featured Louisiana State University and the University of Louisville, two competitive collegiate football programs.
Elizabeth, Ally and Carly were all selected to be a part of the halftime performance after being named All-Americans at the AmeriCheer Camp the Holy Name Cheerleading Squad attended this past summer at Baldwin Wallace University. Camp leaders were responsible for choosing the girls who stood out the most to them during the camp activities.
In the days leading up to the Citrus Bowl, the girls attended long practices to prepare for their routine. When they were not practicing, they also went to Disney World and Universal Studios, and enjoyed the entire experience.
