Holy Name made a day trip to Meadville, PA to face the Bulldogs. This was the 3rd meeting of the year between these two. Holy Name opened the scoring in the first period with a power play goal scored by Pat Ehlert with assists to Brennan Dickey and Jack Mohar. Brendan Greller played the first period and turned aside all 10 shots he faced. The scoring opened up in the second period. The Namers extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal scored by Dickey with assist going to Mohar. Meadville scored a power play goal to close the gap to 2-1. Holy Name would score the next 3 goals to extend the lead to 5-1. Milo Henry from Dickey and Dom Lugo made the score 3-1. Ehlert finished off another power play goal with assists to Dickey and Lugo. Final goal was scored by Dickey from Henry and Lugo. James Light played the second period and stopped 11 of 12 shots he faced. Freshmen Matias Sizov saw his first varsity action and turned aside all 10 shots he faced in the third. With Dickey’s five points in this game, he reached the 200 points for his career at Holy Name.
Tonight the Namers will celebrate the 7 graduating seniors during their final home game at 8:30 PM at Reis vs. North Royalton.
